Green Line
The Green Line project proposes a roughly 8 km bike-and-pedestrian route connecting the Sykhiv residential district with a number of public facilities and institutions, public spaces, and the center of Lviv.
The project aims to create a route that users with different levels of mobility and different motivations can all use, meeting both their everyday needs and their needs on days off.
The Green Line is conceived as a potential “branch” of the city’s green network, strengthening urban mobility, providing additional access to green spaces, and encouraging residents toward a more active lifestyle. This route is not meant to duplicate or replace the development of the city’s planned cycling network; instead, it offers an alternative, “mixed-use” route with a range of possibilities for pedestrians, cyclists, and users of other non-motorized modes of transport.
